RealNetworks has announced revenus of $135.7 million for the second quarter of this year – down 11% year-on-year. However, music revenues were up 9% to $40.5 million, offset by slides in revenues at the company’s technology, media and games divisions. Real reported a net loss for Q2 of $188.3 million, compared to a loss of just $1.3 million in Q2 2008 – mainly down to goodwill impairment charges of $175.6 million. Rhapsody subscriptions fell to 750,000 from 800,000 the previous quarter.
