New research from Harris Interactive claims that 18% of 18-34 year-olds say social media access is now the most decisive factor in what mobile phone they buy. Meanwhile, 25% of these “young adults” access their social networks often from their phones. That said, the most decisive factor for 45% of respondants when buying a new phone is something quite basic, contacts and calendar management.
