Lucky Voice – the company dedicated to making karaoke cool with the UK’s trendiest Tokyo-esque singalong booths – made use of blogging and Twitter to arrange a mass singsong at last weekend’s Big Chill festival at Eastnor Castle, UK. Using the Twitter hashtag #LVBigSing and a webpage, Lucky Voice solicited suggestions from the audience that a crowd of thousands eventually sang along to. It’s all part of promoting Lucky Voice’s range of home karaoke products designed to compete with the likes of hit videogames like SingStar. Lucky Voice Home provides 6,000 tunes for online streaming via PC and the Lucky Voice Party Box (with blog approval from none other than Kanye West) adds a mixer with echo, microphone and the ability to hook up to a computer or flat screen TV.
