Japan’s Avex Group Holdings issued its financial report for the first quarter, showing revenues up 2.1% against the same quarter last year. In Q1 of this fiscal year, total revenue from sales came to $267 million, compared to $237.3 million for the same quarter last year. Avex had the largest market share, 16.1% of physical music sales in Japan for 2008 according to Soundscan Japan.
