Fast Company has a long feature about Nokia’s ambitions in the music and entertainment space, and it’s still talking up its prospects. “Nokia not only wants to revolutionise music, but I am claiming now that we will quickly be the world’s biggest entertainment media network,” EVP Tero Ojanpera recently told a gathering of music industry execs. Pretty eyebrow-raising given the performance so far of Comes With Music. However, the article does get to a more interesting point, about Nokia’s continued dominance in emerging markets like India, and the role it can play as a music and entertainment distributor there.
