Global Gaming Factory has announced that it’s in licensing discussions with Swedish performing rights society STIM – and STIM has confirmed the news. “GGF’s pending acquisition of The Pirate Bay creates a window of opportunity for the entertainment industry, which has suffered heavy losses due to illegal file sharing,” says STIM’s Tomas Ericsson. “STIM is very important to us because they have spent several years working out special agreements for filesharers,” says GGF boss Hans Pandeya. There’s still no news on other deals though, with just a week to go until GGF’s self-imposed deadline to complete the purchase.
