Anti-piracy firms MediaDefender and MediaSentry have merged and rebranded as Peer Media Technologies, promising to “create a true powerhouse in the field of intellectual property protection”. It follows April’s news that MediaDefender’s parent company ATISTdirect had bought MediaSentry. The new company is now touting its services to thwart P2P piracy and provide clients with weekly and monthly reports on its effectiveness.
