Facebook has announced a big extension of its Facebook Connect technology for the mobile web. What this means is that any mobile website – and for that matter any mobile application – can let users login to their Facebook accounts and share details of what they are doing. Previously, Facebook Connect could only be used by full websites and iPhone applications. Meanwhile, the social network’s mobile boss Henri Moissinac says that 65 million people accessed Facebook itself from a mobile phone last month.
