The Record Industry Association of Japan reported a 3% decline in digital sales in Q2 2009 (April-June) compared the same period a year ago, with sales of 115.5 million digital units. Sales worth equivalent to $239.8 million, a 2% decline versus Q2 2008. Mobile master ringtones for the quarter were down 18% to 39.8 million units against Q2 2008. Computer-based music and music video downloads sold 11.4 million units, an increase of 10% on Q1 2009 and up 8% with Q2 2008.
