Plenty of artists are ramping up their Facebook presences at the moment, but one piece of the puzzle has been missing: actual music sales. It’s been more about directing people to iTunes, Amazon or other digital stores. However, Nimbit has just announced its MyStore for Facebook platform, which lets artists sell their tracks direct to fans. Social features are key, too: “The power of friends watching other friends shop and purchase provides a new level of viral recommendation to a connected, like-minded network,” says Nimbit co-founder Phil Antoniades. More than 300 artists are already using the MyStore on Facebook.
