Palm would like to be a big player in the smartphone world again, having fallen off the radar in recent times. Its Pre smartphone started the buzz, and now it’s unveiled the second handset running its new webOS platform. The Pixi is a more affordable model that will be out this side of Christmas. It looks like a slimmer BlackBerry, and will be targeted at younger users. Pre-style iTunes compatability is notably not mentioned in the press release, though.
