Belgrade-based academic Predrag Mitrovic has released a study of 740 cardiology patients, claiming that listening to 12 minutes of music a day reduces blood pressure, heart rate and patient anxiety, as well as the likelihood of sudden death in acute coronary syndrome patients. Which is nice. The results could lead to more use of music therapy for heart disease patients, although details on what kind of music works best are a bit sketchy.
