The latest artist to launch a virtual lighter app for iPhone is Lil Wayne, via a partnership with developer Spark of Blue Software. In fact, it’s part of a wider deal between the developer and Live Nation, which will see similar apps coming from The Who, Poison, Motley Crue, Kings of Leon and Pantera. Besides promising that its “realistic flame sways and moves as you wave your hand”, the app also includes a user-programmable scrolling text marquee, a range of hi-res Lil Wayne photos, and the promise of free upgrades with new features in the future. A snip for $0.99, yes? Oh.
