UK streaming music service we7 has been working hard in recent months to secure a string of pre-release exclusives on new albums. The latest is from Mika, with his The Boy Who Knew Too Much, which goes on sale on Monday but can be streamed online now.The twist is that the album stream is being plugged on UK newspaper The Sun’s website, where it’s billed as an exclusive. It’s a sign of we7’s strategy of partnering with media outlets to embed music on their sites – one of its big differences with rival Spotify. That said, Spotify too has been much in evidence on media sites, albeit with playlists that involve clicking through to open its desktop client.Anyway, you can listen to the Mika album on The Sun’s website, although it’s not completely exclusive – it can also be streamed from we7’s own website.
