
Vodafone now has a full set of major labels for its DRM-free mobile music store, having agreed a deal with Warner Music Group. The company says it’s now the first global operator to offer MP3s from all four majors for over-the-air downloads. However, even once WMG’s content is added, Voda will only have a catalogue of one million tracks – some way behind its big rivals in the online world. However, Vodafone says it plans to work with WMG on more than simple track sales – expect album bundles with extra multimedia content, for example.
