Label-backed online video site Vevo has announced that David Kohl has joined the company as its head of sales. He joins from Nokia, where he headed up interactive advertising, but he’s also worked at MTV Networks, Vivendi Universal and Comedy Central. Kohl will head up a six-person sales team for the Google-powered site, which is aiming to generate a better return from advertising than YouTube currently does for music videos. Vevo is apparently targeting 450 million video streams a month when it launches later this year in the US.
