It’s not a portal or an app store, it’s a hybrid of both, with social networking aggregation built in. Vodafone has announced Vodafone 360, its new Big Idea for mobile internet services. It draws in feeds from Facebook and other social networks, offers downloadable apps including music, and will replace the company’s Vodafone Live portal. Two handsets have been announced for its launch, using the Linux-based LiMo operating system rather than one of the more established smartphone platforms like Android or Symbian.
