Congratulations to Sheffield University student Chris Green, who’s won the BCS IT Student of the Year contest for creating something called eMotion Shuffle. The project aims to create an MP3 player which lets people classify and manipulate music by its emotional relevance. “Imagine waking in the morning deciding “Today will be a good day” and having the tool to make it so – simply by playing music,” says the blurb on its website.
