Digital distributor The Orchard is looking for a new CEO, after current boss Greg Scholl announced his departure. His interim replacement, intriguingly, is eMusic boss Danny Stein, who’s also one of The Orchard’s directors. Scholl’s resignation was announced alongside news that The Orchard is laying off 20% of its global workforce, which it claims is down to “taking advantage of technology efficiencies and aligning costs with a slower-than-expected digital music market growth rate”.
