EMI’s SVP of digital marketing Syd Schwartz has been talking about the label group’s plans to launch an iPhone app tied to one of its “major artists”. It will offer streaming music and videos, but also location-aware photo feature to let fans take snaps at a gig and see who’s close to them, m-commerce features to buy tickets and merchandise, and custom animations tied to certain songs.
