BACH Technology has announced two new deals for its MusicDNA technology, which aims to extract more metadata from music files, from genre and temp to instrumentation, density and “colour”. Canadian news and entertainment site 1Boss will now be using the system, as will UK-based build-your-own-store service People’s Music Store. “MusicDNA opens up new commercial possibilities for both DSPs and advertisers, whilst offering listeners a deeper interaction with the music they love,” says BACH CEO Stefan Kohlmeyer. The company also claims MusicDNA will help these sites on the advertising front, allowing brands to target users based on “their mood and energy”.
