MySpace’s US traffic dropped from 55.6 million unique visitors in August to 50.2 million in September – and the site has lost 20% of its US traffic since June this year. The trend appears to be accelerating too – MySpace lost a million US visitors between June and July, more than four million between July and August, and more than five million between August and September. Rival Facebook now accounts for 60% of all US social networking activity, according to rival metrics firm Hitwise.
