Apple is notoriously tight-lipped as a company, with a near-impermeable wall of secrecy around new products and strategic thinking outside set launches. So Twitter isn’t an obvious fit for the company, whose execs are hardly going to be gabbing about their plans. However, there’s evidence that Apple is planning a Twitter push to promote its key services, having registered four new accounts: iTunesMusic, iTunesMovies, iTunesTV and iTunesPodcasts. The music one is basically promoting new releases on the US iTunes Store, although we wonder if Apple will follow in the footsteps of Amazon and start using Twitter to plug time-limited discount offers too.
