I-play is dippin its toes into more traditional music models, with plans to release a six-track EP of songs from the game on iTunes. “I-play is now an independent music label!” says VP of marketing Mike Breslin. It’s not the first time a games firm has released a digital soundtrack – EA has done the same for some of its console games – but it’s the first time an iPhone game has spawned such a release.
