MixMatchMusic will soon launch a new service called MobBase, which will help indie and unsigned bands to build and manage their own iPhone apps – including providing gig dates and selling merchandise. There are no details on pricing or full features yet, though, which makes it hard to compare the service’s merits with existing examples, including iLike’s iPhone app initiative, and Mobile Roadie.
