Well, that was quick. Having written about new web-based torrent service TaffyBox earlier this week, it’s already been shut down. However, it wasn’t squashed by angry rightsowners, but by another angry torrent site, BTjunkie. It turns out that TaffyBox was piggybacking on the latter’s resources without even having the politeness to link back to it. “Most sites that utilise our backend reciprocate and when they don’t we ban them,” says BTjunkie’s founder. “He just ripped off the site and stripped the ads.” D’oh!
