Zune HD owners have been complaining that their devices aren’t correctly synchronising their playcounts with their PC and Zune Social accounts. Tracks that are skipped after 20 seconds are apparently counted as a play, but those listened to in full are not. A minor problem? Well, maybe, but the whole idea of the Zune Social service is to discover new music based on the songs you’ve played on the device. Inaccurate playcounts means inaccurate recommendations.
