Remember that deal announced earlier this week, where Chinese search engine Baidu would funnel music search traffic to Qtrax? We failed to mention that it was announced by Qtrax, not by Baidu. And the significance of that point is… Well, here’s a new quote from Baidu: “The partnership with Qtrax regards text-based information, such as singer backgrounds; it has nothing to do with the music itself”. Could it be possible that Qtrax overstated the deal? We’ll leave you to make your own minds up on that.
