German ticketing firm CTS Eventim has announced a deal with Apple that will see people buying music on iTunes targeted with special offers for tickets. It kicked off with a deal around Tokio Hotel – anyone buying the UMG act’s new album got a code allowing them to buy tickets for the upcoming tour a day before they went on general sale. “We are inviting every promoter and record label to experiment with these new marketing opportunities and to reach out to new target groups,” says CTS Eventim’s VP of new media Malte Blumenthal.
