Lady Gaga has teamed up with iOKI to launch a karaoke app for iPhone, letting fans sing along with her hits. It’s due to launch alongside her new album later this month. iOKI is also launching its own app, licensing master recordings from labels rather than MIDI karaoke backing tracks. Users can share their caterwaulings online once they’re done. The Gaga version will cost $4.99 and include five songs, while iOKI will also have an in-app download store giving access to more than 3,000 other tracks from Backstreet Boys to Van Halen. However, some of these will be soundalike, rather than master recordings.
