Germany’s Bertelsmann media group saw revenues decline by 4.5% to €3.6 billion from €3.8 billion in the third quarter of 2009. In the nine months of 2009 to date, group revenues from continued operations came to €10.8 billion, down from €11.5 billion in the same period in 2008, a 6.6% decline in revenue. The group incurred a net loss of €246 million in the first nine months of 2009, compared with a profit of €387 million in 2008.
