Buzz is starting to build around upcoming streaming music service Rdio, with screenshots being leaked to US tech blog ReadWriteWeb. The service – backed by Skype/Kazaa co-founders Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis – will be a monthly subscription streaming service, backed up by $0.99 song purchases. It will have a desktop client, website interface, and apps for iPhone and BlackBerry, with the screenshots being of the latter. The story claims that Rdio has already tied up licensing deals with Warner Music Group and The Orchard, but remains in talks with the other major labels.
