We’ve written about Audiosurf several times in the past year – it’s an innovative game that digs into the player’s music library and turns tunes into racing tracks, based on analysis of the files. Initially released for PC, it’s been slated for an iPhone release for some time. However, it turns out Apple doesn’t give developers enough access to the core music files to make it possible. “Apps can play songs, but they can’t get at a song’s bits (needed to analyze it and build a matching rollercoaster + traffic pattern),” says developer Dylan Fitterer.
