With BlueBeat having been squashed by a judge, TunesPro looks set to be the next store to raise the ire of major labels – and EMI in particular. It’s offering more than 5.5 million songs for sale as MP3s for $0.19 a song. And while a spokesperson tells Hypebot that the site is fully licensed – “We have deals with all major labels and with lot of the independent ones” – the fact that a couple of Beatles remastered albums are among its catalogue implies that it’s not quite as kosher as it claims.
