What’s next for the Guitar Hero series? Founder Kai Huang has been chatting about Activision’s plans, including the likelihood of a subscription service for downloadable tracks. “That’s definitely one of the things we would love to do,” he says. “There are a lot of issues around music licensing. Consumers want it; I know I want it. We’re trying to make that happen.” He also says the company is looking at how to let players import their own music libraries into Guitar Hero, although again, “licensing is certainly the biggest issue” stopping this for now.
