Tim McGraw and The Heavy are the latest artists to launch official iPhone apps, both of which are free. McGraw’s is a good guide to the key features that are appearing in such apps: tour dates, Twitter feed, blog posts, news, videos, streaming music and the ability to upload photos from gigs. Its GPS friend finder is an interesting touch. The Heavy have taken a different approach though, offering their entire back catalogue to stream through their app, including their latest album The House That Dirt Built.
