we7 has teamed up with MTV for a widget letting fans listen to the new album by Chris Brown three days before it went on sale today. The widget streamed the album in full, while allowing users to browse the MTV site for news on the star. On one level, it’s just another pre-release exclusive stream – we7 and Spotify are announcing new examples every week here in the UK. However, we7’s partnership with MTV is interesting, as you might have expected the broadcaster to develop its own solution for this kind of promotion. The fact that it’s outsourcing to we7 is good news for the UK streaming music firm. Link
