Remember that marketing deal Nokia struck with Rihanna? It involved a live webcast of her London gig, but also plans for a mobile application to be distributed through Nokia’s Ovi Store. Well, it’s gone live, albeit for only three handsets – the N97, X6 and 5800 XpressMusic. The app offers news, photos and videos, as well as music samples and tourdate info, and links to buy her new album on the Nokia Music Store – complete with two exclusive tracks. Meanwhile, yesterday saw Nokia send out an apologetic email to users of its Nokia Music Store, correcting a previous email suggesting that the store offers “over 6 million free tracks”.
