Portishead have released a new track – Chase the Tear – as an online-only MP3 download via 7digital. The aim is to raise money for Amnesty International, which will be getting all earnings from the downloads. 7digital made the track available yesterday through its stores in 16 countries to tie in with International Human Rights Day. The company’s press release says 7digital is “first to release” the song – which implies other digital retailers will be offering it at some point too. Link
