In October, Public Enemy announced plans to fan-fund their next album on SellaBand, looking to raise $250,000 in individual donations of $25. We checked in on how they’re doing on Friday, and it’s not great news – so far the band have only raised just over $70,000 from 916 fans. They reached $50,000 from 700 fans on 21st October, so the pace really slowed down in November. It’ll be interesting to see how they try to reenergise their fanbase to raise the remaining dosh – perhaps that $25 minimum pledge was too high? Source: Music Ally Blog
