Amazon has launched a new discounting promotion on its US MP3 Store, selling 100 albums for $5 each, taking in Lady Gaga, David Bowie and The Hold Steady. However, a separate deal has seen Amazon team up with media management app DoubleTwist, which lets people sync their iTunes libraries to non-Apple devices. The deal involves integrating Amazon’s MP3 store into the DoubleTwist software, giving users a way to buy MP3s rather than Apple’s AAC DRM-free format.
