Okay, so it’s not the 100,000+ of iPhone’s App Store, but Google’s Android Market is picking up steam, passing the 20,000 milestone according to analytics site AndroLib. That means the Android catalogue has doubled in the last five months, although 62% of the apps remain free. There isn’t a dedicated music category, but the Multimedia genre – which is where apps like Spotify sit – has 870 apps available. Source: MobileCrunch
