American Idol creator Simon Fuller has revealed his next big project: If I Can Dream. It’ll follow five young people trying to break into the entertainment industry, with the audience interacting with them via video messages and social networking sites. The twist? It will debut online on the Hulu service months before it’s shown on US network television. Fuller says the show will “push the boundaries of mainstream entertainment”, and adds that “the next frontier is the video world of authentic real time interaction”. Ford and Pepsi have already signed up to sponsor the show. It’ll be shown on Hulu and also embedded on its own IfICanDream.com site. Source: Financial Times Source: Billboard
