iPhone music game developer Tapulous is making more than $1 million of revenues a month from its Tap Tap Revenge games, having topped 20 million downloads for the series. The games are being played more than 2.5 million times a day, and players have bought and downloaded more than one million additional tracks using the game’s in-app payments feature. Tapulous also tells Billboard that it’s just signed several deals with independent labels to add their catalogues to the game, including Bug Music, Downtown Records and Nettwerk Records.
