In 2008, Danish telco TDC’s Play service was the talk of the industry, thanks to its groundbreaking offering of unlimited music downloads for broadband and mobile customers. Since then, though, the buzz around ‘unlimited’ music has arguably shifted to streaming services like Spotify. Hence TDC’s announcement yesterday that it’s adding unlimited streaming to Play, through a browser-based interface. “Streaming is the future for listening to music. No more time consuming downloads and using up space on your hard disk trying to store all your music,” says TDC’s Jesper Theill Eriksen.
