US blogger Louis Gray has uncovered a bunch of new hires at Twitter which hint that the company may be moving towards more of an entertainment focus. The company has hired Bakari Brock from Google, where he focused on music, video and syndication for YouTube – while his LinkedIn profile says his specialities include “negotiation and drafting of music, video and software licenses, and counselling on copyright, ecommerce and general policy issues”. Other new recruits for Twitter include staff from Bebo, Tivo, Qik and Ning. Source: Louis Gray
