Music browser Songbird has its first big deal with a consumer electronics firm: Philips. The companies have teamed up to bundle the Songbird software with Philips’ range of GoGear portable music players. The software will be branded for Philips, and tailored to support the different features of the various GoGear devices. It’s part of Songbird’s strategy to position itself as the software of choice for Apple’s rivals in the music player space. Source: TechCrunch
