3D is one of the buzz areas at this week’s CES show in Las Vegas, and yesterday Sony put a musical spin on it. The company is working on – in the Guardian‘s words – “beaming 3D gigs directly into living rooms around the world, giving the chance to experience live music events in lifelike clarity without ever leaving the sofa”. Quite. The company hosted a demonstration with US artist Taylor Swift at the show, as well as a 3D version of Jimi Hendrix’s Woodstock performance. Details of how and when this will become a commercial service were, however, thin on the ground.
