T-Mobile USA has unveiled its myTouch 3G Fender Edition – a version of its existing Android handset with a “Fender guitar sunburst-finish inspired design”. The operator has signed up Eric Clapton to promote the phone, which will come with a bunch of his hits preloaded – as well as songs from Avril Lavigne, Wyclef Jean and Brad Paisley. T-Mobile is also preloading music apps on the device, as well as doubleTwist’s media management software to help people transfer their music onto the handset. The apps element is interesting – music-branded handsets used to be all about the bundled music, but now apps are becoming part of these offerings too. Source: Unwired View
