Apple has launched a way for people to make donations to the Haiti relief effort via the iTunes Store. The company is working with the American Red Cross, providing a promotion on the iTunes homepage for donations, which are charged via the usual payment mechanism. It’s live in the UK iTunes Store as well as the US. Meanwhile, more than 25 iPhone and Mac developers have launched an initiative called Indie Relief, which involves donating all of their sales this Wednesday to the Haiti relief effort. They’re looking for more to sign up between now and then.
